European priorities
HERizon is aligned with key Erasmus+ priorities in adult education, especially access to high-quality and flexible learning opportunities, the promotion of local learning spaces, and inclusion and diversity.
The project provides accessible digital tools, multilingual resources, empowerment circles and mentoring opportunities for women facing violence, discrimination, migration-related vulnerability or social isolation.
Through this approach, HERizon contributes to inclusive lifelong learning, digital transformation and gender equality across Europe.
Who HERizon is for
HERizon is designed for women who may face violence, discrimination, isolation, migration-related vulnerability or limited access to support services.
The project also supports professionals and organisations working with women, including educators, trainers, mentors, NGOs, migrant organisations, social workers and local stakeholders.
Main target groups:
- Women exposed to violence, discrimination or social isolation
- Migrant women and women from vulnerable communities
- Educators, trainers and mentors
- NGOs and women’s rights organisations
- Social workers and community actors
- Local stakeholders and policy actors
Our methodology
HERizon uses a participatory, inclusive and practice-oriented methodology. The project combines digital learning, peer support, mentoring, creative expression and community-based activities.
The methodology is based on four principles:
Learning by doing
Women access practical tools, exercises, modules and real-life scenarios.
Peer support
Empowerment circles and mentoring chains create safe spaces for exchange, support and solidarity.
Storytelling and creativity
Audio stories, digital narratives and artivism workshops help women express experiences and transform them into collective awareness.
Accessible digital innovation
The platform, chatbot and online modules are designed to be multilingual, mobile-friendly and easy to use.
Inclusion and accessibility
HERizon is built on an inclusive approach. The project will provide multilingual and culturally adapted tools so that women from diverse backgrounds can access resources that respond to their real needs.
The platform and learning materials will be designed for different levels of digital skills, with simple navigation, practical content and accessible formats.
HERizon pays particular attention to women who may experience multiple forms of vulnerability, including migration, social isolation, economic insecurity, discrimination or exposure to gender-based violence.
Innovation
HERizon combines social innovation and digital innovation. The project brings together an AI-powered chatbot, virtual self-defence modules, digital storytelling tools, audio narratives, empowerment circles and artivism workshops.
This combination makes HERizon innovative because it connects online learning with real community support. Women will not only access information; they will also be able to learn, share, create, connect and take part in collective action.
Quality and evaluation
HERizon includes a quality assurance and impact evaluation process to monitor project progress, assess the quality of activities and measure the effects of the resources developed.
The project will combine quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods, including participant feedback, surveys, case studies, platform data and impact reports.
This evaluation process will help partners improve the tools during the project and ensure that the final results are useful, accessible and transferable.
Sustainability
HERizon is designed to continue beyond the project period. The digital platform, learning resources, mentoring guidelines and awareness materials will remain available for partner organisations, NGOs, educators and community actors.
The project will also build long-term partnerships with local organisations, women’s rights groups, migrant organisations and policy stakeholders.
By embedding HERizon tools into local practices and European networks, the project aims to create lasting impact in the fields of women’s empowerment, violence prevention and adult education.
European added value
HERizon brings together partners from France, Spain, Austria, Sweden and Croatia. Each partner contributes specific expertise in education, gender equality, women’s rights, digital inclusion, mentoring, trauma-informed support and community empowerment.
This European cooperation allows the project to create resources that are not limited to one national context. The tools will be multilingual, transferable and adaptable to different communities across Europe.
HERizon’s European added value lies in its ability to connect local experiences, shared challenges and common solutions for women’s safety and empowerment.
Safety note
HERizon provides educational and awareness-raising resources. The platform and chatbot are designed to guide users towards information and support resources, but they do not replace professional, legal, psychological or emergency assistance.
In case of immediate danger, users should contact local emergency services or specialised support organisations.
